According to the latest information, the following is the breakdown of the number of Leopard 2 tanks that each country will provide to Ukraine: Canada will provide four Leopard 2A4 tanks, Denmark's contribution is unknown, Germany will provide 14 Leopard 2A6 tanks, the Netherlands' contribution is unknown, Norway will provide eight Leopard 2A4 tanks, Poland will provide 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks, Portugal will provide three Leopard 2A6 tanks, and Spain will provide six Leopard 2A4 tanks.

At the same time, Army Recognition editorial team reported that Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with 100 refurbished Leopard 1A5 Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) coming from private defense company stocks.

With all these promises of delivery of Leopard 2 and Leopard 1, the Ukrainian army will have one of the largest tank forces in Europe. The United Kingdom will also deliver 14 British-made Challenger 2 tanks and France will supply around 30 AMX-10RC 6x6 anti-tank reconnaissance armored vehicles.

Due to a possible new offensive of the Russian armed forces at the end of February, the Us and European tanks will provide the Ukrainian army with the ability to defend key territories, such as cities or important infrastructure. Tanks can be used in offensive operations to seize and control territory from enemy forces.

Ukraine has a diverse terrain with a mix of urban, rural, and mountainous areas, which requires a versatile and adaptable ground force. Tanks are effective in a wide range of environments and can be used in both offensive and defensive roles.

As the Ukrainian army seeks to modernize and improve its combat capabilities, the delivery of modern tanks like the Leopard 2 can provide a significant boost to its military strength and effectiveness against the Russian armed forces.

Main battle tanks (MBTs) are an important asset for ground forces in modern conflicts. They offer several advantages that make them a valuable tool in modern warfare.

One of the primary advantages of MBTs is their firepower. They are equipped with a variety of weapons, including a main gun, machine guns, and sometimes a missile launcher, which can be used to engage enemy forces at long ranges. This allows them to deliver accurate and lethal fire on the enemy and neutralize threats quickly and efficiently.

Another key advantage of MBTs is their protection. They have heavily armored hulls that can protect against small arms fire, artillery shells and even some types of missiles. This makes them more resilient in combat and allows them to operate in hostile environments without the risk of being easily taken out.

MBTs are also highly mobile, thanks to their powerful engines that allow them to move quickly over a variety of terrains. This includes rough terrain and obstacles, such as trenches or debris, that would otherwise slow down other types of ground forces. This mobility gives them the ability to quickly reposition and support friendly forces in different areas of the battlefield.
