MSPO 2021: Arex WB Group has developed new family of remote weapon stations


At MSPO 2021, the company AREX, a subdivision of the Polish company WH Group, presents its full range of new remotely operated weapon stations including the ZSU-01, ZSU-02 and ZSU-03. This new family of turrets are fully designed and developed in Poland.

The three different types of the new remotely operated weapon station family share the same components including sights, azimuth and elevation drive control, steering module, swivel connection and operator control station. The turret can be controlled in fully automatic mode or manually in case of emergency or failures with the system.

The ZSU turret family can be armed with a wide range of weapons including 5.56 mm or 7.62mm machine gun, 12.7mm heavy machine, 40mm automatic grenade launcher as well as automatic cannon up to 30mm caliber. The version 03 and 03 can be also fitted with ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) launcher tubes.

The ZSU turrets has a traverse of 360° with elevation from -10° to +60° with a weight ranging from 157 kg to 215 kg without armament and ammunition. All the turrets can be fitted with daylight camera, thermal camera and laser range finder. The azimuth and the elevation are fully electrically controlled offering quick rotation and precision aiming. In option, the turret can be also equipped with smoke grenade dischargers.

the ZSU-01 is the low cost version of the WB Group ZSU turret family, while the ZSU-02 and ZSU-03 are fully stabilized on two axles and can be used to destroy target on the move.
