The newest development in small caliber weapons by FN Herstal, the FN SCAR®-SC subcompact carbine, will be showcased in its two available calibers at MSPO this year: 5.56x45mm/.223 Rem or 7.62x35mm/.300 BLK.

Regardless of the caliber, the FN SCAR®-SC features a standard telescopic buttstock allowing a 3-position length adjustment and is available with a wide choice of buttstock types (foldable or fixed adjustable buttstock, or foldable, adjustable offset buttstock for use with helmet visor) to fulfill the specific needs of the users. Similarly, all FN SCAR®-SC variants are available with a receiver with Picatinny type side rails or KeyMod.

Together with the FN SCAR®-SC, FN Herstal will exhibit the whole FN SCAR® family, including 5.56 and 7.62 assault rifles, under barrel or stand-alone grenade launchers, and precision rifles.

The FN SCAR (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle) is a family of assault rifle and marksman rifle in 7.62 and 5.56 mm calibers. This family of rifles consists of two main types. The SCAR-L, for "light," is chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge and the SCAR-H, for "heavy," is chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO. Both are available in Close Quarters Combat (CQC), Standard (STD), and Long Barrel (LB) variants.

On the portable weapons front, the well-known FN MINIMI® 5.56 Mk3 and 7.62 Mk3 will also be on show – just like the Less Lethal solution designed around the FN 303® projectile, the 5.7x28mm weapon system, and FN® 509 pistols.

The Minimi is a light machine gun developed by the Belgian company FN Herstal, in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The first version of the Minimi was produced in 5.56mm caliber, but now there is also a 7.62mm version.

For its whole product range, FN Herstal offers 360-degree service support, including wide range of certified accessories and ammunition.
