New 6x6 tank destroyer Rosomak armoured Spike NLOS missile MSPO 2017 Poland
New 6x6 Tank Destroyer armoured vehicle presented by PGZ at MSPO 2017, the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Poland. The vehicle is equipped with a new turret armed with four launchers for Spike NLOS long range Anti Tank Guided Missile.
The vehicle design was based on proven concept used in the Rosomak APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) family. High power combined with limited size and weight, providing good mobility in all terrain conditions. The armour of the vehicle provides ballistic protection Level 2 STANAG A569 in all-around the vehicle and Level 4 at the front, at an angle of 60°.
The main weapon of the 6x6 Tank Destroyer is the multi-purpose electro-optical Anti Tank Guided Missiles - Spike NLOS with wireless, real-time data link which has a firing range up to 25 km.
The SPIKE NLOS weapon system can be operated in either direct attack upon target detection using LOBL (Lock-on Before Launch) Mode or firing from stand-off in automatic navigation mode based on operator or target acquisition system provided coordinates (INS navigation).
A bidirectional RF data link enables transmission of the missile seeker video image to the operator as well as real time updating or steering of the missile.
SPIKE NLOS enables defeat of high value targets, with pinpoint precision, accurate BDA and provision of real-time intelligence. This precision allows for engagement of targets in urban terrain effectively, with minimum collateral damage. The system can also be equipped with various warheads such as anti-tank, fragmentation and anti structural.
