Milipol Paris 2019: Next week opening of global event for homeland security and safety industry


Milipol Paris 2019 will open its doors on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, this a global event for homeland security and safety industry that takes place every two years in the city of Paris, France. This year’s edition features a notable increase in exhibitor numbers from 1,005 two years ago to 1,100 exhibitors this year from more than 50 countries.

Milipol Paris is a leading event dedicated to homeland security and safety professionals, showcasing the latest technologies and innovations responding to the actual needs of homeland security and police forces. Today homeland security includes the act of keeping peace within the borders of a sovereign state or other self-governing territories, generally by upholding the national law and defending against internal security threats. Responsibility for internal security may range from police to paramilitary forces, and in exceptional circumstances, the military itself.

The Milipol exhibition is the most important exhibition in the field of internal State security, bringing together decision-makers and security advisors from around the world to review the technological public and industrial security products and services in the field of internal security.

Milipol Paris is organized under the aegis of the French Ministry for the Interior, in partnership with the French National Police and Gendarmerie, the French Civil Security and Crisis Management Department, the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the French Customs Department.

For the edition 2019 of Milipol Paris, Christophe CASTANER, French Minister of the Interior, alongside Laurent NUNEZ, French Secretary of State to the Minister of the Interior, will inaugurate the 21st edition of Milipol Paris on Tuesday 19 November 2019.

More than 30,000 national and international visitors are expected to attend Milipol Paris as well as the various conferences, workshops, and demonstrations. MILIPOL Following the success of the Milipol Innovation Awards first edition, Milipol Paris will once again organize the competition reserved for all the companies exhibiting at the 2019 event. This competition aimed to reward the most innovative companies in terms of products, materials, services, solutions or business models related to the homeland security industry.
