The Nicaraguan army has taken delivery of 12 trucks on May 24, 2018. The trucks were delivered through Guasaule via Honduras. While few details were released by the Ministry of Defense, a statement on its website indicates that the trucks were ordered months ago to initiate the replacement of Nicaragua's current inventory of ageing vehicles.

Sweden close to sign a deal in the next few weeks to purchase American-made Patriot air defense missile system from the U.S. Company Raytheon. The contract could reach an amount of 10 billion crowns ($1.13 billion) and is the biggest military purchase since 2013 from the Swedish armed forces.

Finally, the deal has been cut. According to the Pravda, Russia plans to ship several regimental sets of S-400 air defense missile systems to India. The deal is evaluated at about $6 billion, sources at the Russian Ministry of Defense told RBC. "It goes about five regiments, which is ten divisions," the source said. Most likely, Russia and India will announce the deal prior to the summit of the leaders of the two countries in October of this year.

Poland wants a permanent U.S. military presence. To obtain it, the country proposes as much as USD 2 billion, according to a defense ministry proposal obtained by Polish news portal Onet. The Trump administration has pushed NATO allies to increase their defense budgets up to 2% of GDP, as the alliance suggests. Poland has been at or above 2% since 2015.

The U.S. Department of Defense has announced on May 25, 2018, the contract calls for Raytheon to build Romania's first brand-new Patriot air defense missile fire unit Configuration 3+. In July 2017, the U.S. State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Romania for Patriot air defense systems, related support and equipment.
