In 2016, the company – now – integrated into Renault Truck Defense (RTD) – received the order for 3,700 4x4 vehicles for the French army. This is the ALTV SW (ACMAT Light Tactical Vehicle – Station Wagon), a militarized SUV. It was selected by the French army to replace the venerable Peugeot P4, hence the fact that the final designation of the vehicle will become VT4. The ALTV SW complies with the NATO standard thanks to its robustness and performance. Production started in February 2017.

Its payload capacity of 1 ton, its autonomy of 1,000 km and its robustness make it a vehicle suitable for all types of environments. The vehicle exists in several versions. It can be airlifted by twin-engine CN-235 and naturally heavier aircraft such as the C-130 Hercules, A-400M and C-17 Globemaster III.
