Russia tests new-generation of electronic warfare command posts
New-generation automated command posts designed to increase the combat capabilities of electronic warfare (EW) units by 20-30% have passed state trials in Russia, the press office of Russia’s Ruselectronics Group told TASS. The Ruselectronics Group is a subsidiary of Russia’s state hi-tech corporation Rostec.

"The command posts have passed state trials and their serial delivery is expected to begin in 2018," the press office said. According to the press office, the talk is about advanced brigade-level command posts incorporating cutting-edge information and telecommunication technologies. "It can control both serial and promising electronic warfare systems of any type. The data transmission speed has grown considerably and many tasks can be accomplished in automatic mode," the press office said.

"The novelty will enhance the combat capabilities of electronic warfare units by 20-30%," the press office added. The command post interacts with units’ command posts and higher control centers. It has a maximum number of communications means, including satellite and videoconference ones. "The equipment allows integrating all operational and promising electronic warfare systems, including the advanced Palantin EW system, in the single data management network," the press office added.
