Russian army air defence units perform live firing with new anti-aircraft missile system TOR-MU. | |||
Soldiers of the Russian air defence units of the Southern Military District will perform live firing with the new modern anti-aircraft ground-to-air missile system "Tor-MU" at Kapustin Yar in the Astrakhan region. | |||
The new ground-to-air air defence missile system TOR-MU is able to detect and track up to ten of aerial targets at ranges up to 30 km. | |||
For the development of this new air defence weapon system, the crew of were trained during more than 3 months at the Russian army Defense Training Centre in the Krasnodar region, where they studied tactical and technical characteristics, basic maintenance and operational use. | |||
