The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the Joint Armored Ground Mobility System (JAGMS) program seeking to procure a new armored ground tactical vehicle. The new armored vehicle should be able to accommodate 9-11 passengers and must be capable of being Internally Air Transportable (IAT) in a C-130 Hercules.

The U.S. Army is buying additional advanced BONUS (BOfors NUtating Shell) munitions manufactured by BAE Systems and Nexter of France. BONUS is a 155-millimeter munition designed for destroying armored targets and will be employed by the Army’s fleet of M109 self-propelled howitzers and M777A2 ultra-lightweight towed howitzers.

More than 1,600 service members from 30 African and Western nations celebrated the accomplishments of exercise Flintlock 2020 in Nouakchott, Mauritania. The U.S. State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Morocco of 25 M88A2 Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lift and Evacuation System (HERCULES) vehicles and/or M88A1 long supply HERCULES refurbished vehicles and related equipment for an estimated cost of $239.35 million. The U.S. State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Jordan of up to 700 Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) software license copies and related equipment for an estimated cost of $300 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on 25 February.

As Indian media reported citing sources from the government of India, Armenia has signed a contract worth about $40 million to purchase four Indian ground-based mobile Swathi Weapon Locating Radar (WLR) stations for its artillery. India's Swathi Weapon Locating Radar (WLR) was selected by Armenia as a result of a tender, which involved similar radars of Russian and Polish manufacture. Their shipment is being carried on.

American Company Raytheon is enhancing the combat-proven Patriot™ Air and Missile Defense System under a $314 million task order for engineering services from the U.S. Army, awarded on January 30. The task order is funded by the 17 nations that rely on Patriot for integrated air and missile defense. This is the third of five annual, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order awards with a total contract ceiling of more than $2.3 billion.

On February 28, 2020, the U.S. Army has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a potential $1.14B contract modification to manufacture surface-to-surface systems designed to engage service area and point targets.
