"The engagement of aviation and air defense systems in real combat conditions provided invaluable experience to the flight and ground personnel, air defense crews and the developers of domestic military products," Putin said. The Russian president thanked arms designers who "are working actively and promptly responding to remarks arising in the course of military hardware engagement." He added the Russian military hardware "is successfully used not only in combat conditions but also for humanitarian tasks."

"Thus, the latest mine clearing complexes defused explosive devices in Aleppo and Palmyra and neutralized terrorist chemical weapons," Putin said. "Mobile medical facilities, field kitchens and engineer systems have proved their efficiency and help revive peaceful life and restore electricity and water supplies to populated areas," he said. "We have to constantly analyze the engagement experience of defense technologies and improve the methods of military training," the president urged, adding that "such an approach will help develop ties in the system of military and technical cooperation and raise the quality of military-defense complex output."
