Rosoboronexport to sell its new 9K333 Verba man-portable air defense to international arms market
Russian JSC Rosoboronexport has started to push the newest 9K333 Verba man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) at the international arms market, according to the company`s Deputy Director General, Sergey Goreslavsky.

"On the strength of all the evidence, our 9K333 Verba MANPADS is the best weapon in its class. At the same time, the Verba`s predecessor, namely, 9K338 Igla-S (NATO reporting name: SA-24 Grinch) will be demanded at the international arms market as it meets the requirements of armed forces of many foreign countries", Goreslavsky emphasized.

The units of Russian Armed Forces (primarily, the Airborne Forces) are being intensively re-equipped with the newest 9K333 Verba MANPADS. The system will be demonstrated to foreign potential customers for the first time at the DEFEXPO India-2016 show, which will take place between March 28 and March 31 in Goa state (India).

9K333 Verba MANPADS is intended for destruction of low-flying aerial vehicles on head-on and pursuit courses. The pivotal feature of the system is its ability to hit low-radiation targets, for instance, cruise misssiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). 9K333 Verba has an operational range of 6,500 m and an operational altitude of 4.500 m.
