Three additional S-400 air defence missile system will be delivered to Russian armed forces.

"One S-400 missile battery will be sent to Nakhodka (Far East), the second in the Moscow region and another will be given to Voronezh (southeastern Russia). Military equipment will be delivered before the end of the year, "said the interlocutor of the agency.

Currently, Russian armed forces has two S-400 Triumph missile regiments deployed in the districts of Elektrostal and Dmitrov in the Moscow region.

The S-400 Triumph is the latest generation of Russian air-defense missile system developed by the Defence Company Almaz Central Design Bureau, it's an upgrade of the S-300 missile family. The S-400 missile is able to detect an air threat at a maximum range of 400 km and destroy all types of air targets at a maximum distance of 250 km.
