Peruvian Army is seeking to acquire a new rocket launcher system to replace its old BM-21.
The Peruvian Army’s acquisitions programs include two Regiments of MRLS Multiple Rocket Launchers System to replace the old Russian-made MRLS BM-21, who is service with the Peruvian armed forces since many years.

In 2011, the Chinese have proposed their WM-120 rocket launcher, but which has not was accepted by the Peruvian military.

An agreement would be underway for the acquisition of a rocket launcher systems design and manufacture from Israel, but no details was given about the model.

Russia, which specializes in the manufacture of this type of armament since World War II, has offered itsmultiple rocket launcher 300mm caliber BM-30 Smerch.
