$160 Million Contract for Elbit Systems to Supply Unmanned Aircraft Systems to a European Country
 

Israeli Company Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: ESLT) ("Elbit Systems") announced today that it was awarded an approximately $160 million contract by a European customer, to supply Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The systems will be supplied over the next two years.

At International Fire Conference Elbit Systems presented SPEAR new 120mm autonomous mortar
 

At the 2nd International Fire Conference which was held from the 22-23 May 2012 at Zikhron Ya’akov, Israel, The Company Elbit Systems presented the SPEAR, a new 120mm autonomous mortar system. Elbit Systems’ SPEAR is a fully autonomous, vehicle-mounted 120mm soft recoil mortar system for high-mobility platforms.

British army troops could stay in Afghanistan beyond the 2014 NATO withdrawal deadline
 

Plans for a compete Western pullout from Afghanistan seem to be drifting with Britain saying a small number of its soldiers may remain in the country beyond the 2014 NATO withdrawal deadline. A senior United Kingdom government official has said ahead of the NATO summit in Chicago that the soldiers will stay in the country to fight terrorism, Reuters reports.

Cambodia and China signed a military cooperation agreement with training of Cambodian soldiers
 

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Tea Banh and Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie on Monday signed a military cooperation agreement in Phnom Penh. Under the deal, signed after a one-hour meeting between the two ministers, China will continue receiving Cambodian military personnel for training in China.
