Belgian Company FN Herstal exhibits its latest infantry assault rifle innovation: the SCAR family that consists of two highly adaptable modular rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO caliber or 7.62x51mm NATO caliber, and the FN40GL 40mm low velocity grenade launcher at LAAD 2013.

The SCAR®, is a modular rifle designed and developed by the Belgian Fabrique Nationale de Herstal in cooperation with the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to satisfy the requirements of the SCAR (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle) competition.
The FN Herstal SCAR is the latest generation of assault rifle for modern armed forces.
At the same time, FN Herstal presents its latest innovation of medium ramp pintle mounted system for helicopter armed with 12.7mm machine gun. FN pintle systems for aircraft, vehicle and naval applications are now serving with America’s warfighters in hostile environments around the globe, providing them with a significant firepower advantage in every operational engagement.
Taking advantage of its leading position in firearms design and manufacturing, FN Herstal started to expand its product portfolio by developing and producing integrated weapon systems for installation onto or into major aircraft types.
More than just selling weapon systems, FN Herstal develops the complete integration of the system together with the helicopter manufacturer or directly with the end user, supervises the installation of all its products and provides operator training as well as a high quality after-sales service to meet the customers' requirements.
FN Herstal's airborne pintle weapon systems can integrate two different weapons - a 7.62x51mm NATO FN MAG®58M or a .50 cal FN M3M (GAU-21) machine gun - and feature three different configurations - either window-, floor- or ramp-mounted.
