First use of Mad Max-look armored personnel carriers made by Nigerian army


On June 9, Defense News Nigeria published pictures on its Twitter account showing the first deployment of armored personal carriers locally manufactured by the army. It took place in the northeast of the country.

On June 4, Army Recognition published a series of pictures also from Defense News Nigeria’s Twitter account showing a series of armored personnel carriers being manufactured on truck chassis stripped from their original civilian body. No technical details are available about these artisanal vehicles.

In spite of the "Mad Max" external look of the vehicles, their internal finish looks correct, with equipment adapted to a law-enforcement use, maybe a limited military APC role.
