The Defense Materiel Organization signed the framework contract with FN Herstal in Belgium for the supply of M2 QCB 12.7mm heavy machine guns, MAG 7.62mm medium machine guns in various configurations, and FN Minimi 5.56mm light machine guns. Until now, weapons and spare parts have been purchased as separate orders from FN Herstal. The new agreement offers the Defense organization more guidance on the delivery times of these weapons and spare parts.

The contract also states that the supplier must handle the configuration management of the weapons, as well as the handling of orders.
