15th Chinese peacekeeping force to be fully deployed to Lebanon
The 2nd batch of officers and soldiers of the 15th Chinese peacekeeping force to Lebanon arrived at their barracks located in south Lebanon on May 26. With the arrival of these 100 troops, the 15th Chinese peacekeeping force to Lebanon has been fully deployed in its mission area.

The 410-member force consists of the 180-member multi-function engineer detachment, the 200-member construction engineer detachment, and the 30-member medical detachment.

The troops of the 14th Chinese peacekeeping force to Lebanon left Lebanon on May 19 and 26 in two batches.

At the request of the United Nations, China has sent 4,000 peacekeepers to Lebanon since 2006. The Chinese peacekeepers are deployed in south Lebanon, implementing missions entrusted by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) including sweeping mines and removing explosives, setting up boundary markers along the Blue Line that separates Lebanon with Israel, building and maintaining military defense works, assisting construction of civilian projects and providing humanitarian aid.
