The Russian company ASTEYS demonstrated modernized armored Patrol-A in during international military forum ARMY 2015 held in Russia, reports military-informant.com. The newest armored vehicle has been developed with the experience of modern warfare and special operations in urban environments. An updated version of the new armored vehicle on the chassis of KAMAZ-43501 4x4 has previously been transferred for a series of tests before adoption by Russian Interior Ministry troops.

Armored Car "Patrol-A" is designed by JSC "Asteys" and is able to fulfill patrol, reconnaissance and transport missions. "Patrol-A" has been developed by order of the Russian Interior Troops by JSC "Asteys, a manufacturer of specialized equipment for military purposes. Patrol-A armored vehicle can transport 10 personnel (including the driver and commander), a variety of goods. It is fitted with a towing trailer systems and aspecial equipment to ensure the required level of mine and bulletproof protection. Armored Car «Patrol-A» is equipped with a 261-horsepower turbo diesel Cummins ISBe 6.7 250 and 9-speed gearbox ZF9S1310. Gross weight of 12,700 kg armored car, with a top speed of 100 km / h.
