Azerbaijan could be interested to purchase Georgian-made military equipment.
Azerbaijan may also be interested in purchasing Georgian military equipment, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov said at a joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart Irakli Alasania in Tbilisi on May 29.

Hasanov said that he would visit the Delta weapon production plant in Georgia and see the manufactured products. Currently, the Company develops and manufactures local-made military products as light weapons, armoured vehicles and artillery systems.

In recent years, the Company has developped a full range of armoured vehicles as the tracked armoured infantry fighting vehicle Lazika, and the wheeled armoured vehicles personnel carrier Didgori-1, Didgori-2 and Didgori-3.

The Company manufacures also the TAAV, a 6x6 armored personnel carrier developed by the State Scientific Technical Center "Delta" of the Ministry of Defense. The TAAV was displayed for the first time during a military parade in 2012.

Hasanov will also visit the Krtsanisi National Training Center today. Georgian servicemen are being prepared to participate in operations in Afghanistan.

Hasanov and Alasania will visit Batumi on May 30, where they will participate in the celebrations for Police Day in Georgia.
