Navistar Defense received a new contract for 471 Maxxpro Dash vehicles for U.S. Marine Corps
 
Navistar Defense, LLC today announced that it received a $357 million delivery order for an additional 471 International(r) MaxxPro(r) Dash vehicles with DXM(tm) independent suspension. The order from the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command follows last month's delivery order for 250 MaxxPro Dash Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) ambulances.

Iranian army air defense unit test-fired new home made air defense missile system Mersad - Shahine
 
Top Iranian air defense commanders announced Monday, June 13, 2011, that Iran (Iranian army air defense unit) has "successfully " test-fired a new home-made air defense system, called Mersad. The Mersad system uses domestically manufactured Shahin missiles based on Hawk missile. The Shahin are even more advanced than the 1970s-era United States-manufactured Hawk missiles.

Turkish leading and largest privately owned tactical vehicles manufacturer Otokar has been awarded a $63.2 million contract for its new 6x6 tactical armoured vehicle ARMA. Deliveries are scheduled to be in 2012 and Otokar will provide spare parts and training under the contract requirements.
