Belgian Special Operations Forces to be equipped with new Light Troop transport Vehicles
 
On 30 June, at the request of the Minister of Defense Steven Vandeput, the Council of Ministers approved the launch of the tendering procedure to equip Special Operations Forces with 199 new armored Light Troop Transport Vehicles (LTTV). First deliveries are expected in 2019.

End of June, U.S. soldiers with the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team and 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) tested the Chevrolet Colorado ZH2 Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle which was unveiled last year at at the AUSA Defense Exhibition in Washington D.C.

Succesful flight test for Indian-made Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile
 
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) developed Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) was successfully flight tested from ITR Chandipur, off the Odisha Coast at 11.30 AM today.

German Army to retrofit its fleet of BOXER armoured fighting vehicles to A2 standard
 
The OCCAR Director and the Managing Directors of ARTEC GmbH signed a contract to retrofit the German BOXER fleet to the A2 built-standard. The ceremony took place in Bonn and was attended by representatives of the German Ministry of Defence, the German procurement agency BAAINBw and also representatives from ARTEC GmbH, KMW GmbH and Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles GmbH.
