The commander of U.S. Army forces in Europe says the United States is planning to train Ukrainian army soldiers after completing the current training of Ukraine’s National Guard troops. Lt. General Ben Hodges told reporters at the Pentagon Monday, July 13, 2015, the so-called “phase two” of training would begin in late November if the plan is approved.

The Mexican National Defense Secretary (Sedena) recently announced that it plans to invest almost USD 107mn to modernize 105 armoured vehicles in service with the Mexican Army. According to documents published in late June by the Ministry of the Treasury, Mexico will overhaul half of its 207 ERC 90 Lynx 6x6 reconnaissance and combat armoured vehicles.

The Army named the new weapon the "XM17" Modular Handgun System. It will replace the current M9 standard Army handgun with a more state-of-the-art weapon system.
