During a military parade rehearsal held on June 28, Singapore unveils new 6x6 armoured vehicles. The Army of Singapore studied a project for replacement of its old V200 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier with the new Protected Response Vehicle (PRV). It seems Singapore has opted for the Renault Trucks Defense (RTD) Higuard solutions.

Following a $184 million (€165 million) order from the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), Oshkosh Defense will produce 698 Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) trucks for the U.S. Army. Deliveries will begin in 2016. The Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) is a series of vehicles, based on a common chassis, that vary by payload and mission requirements.

Leidos was awarded a prime task order by the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) to provide operation and maintenance support to the Software Engineering Center (SEC) for the Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) system. The single-award, cost-plus, fixed-fee task order has a one year base period of performance, two one year options and a total contract value of approximately $10 million (€9.04 million) if all options are exercised.

The radar will be delivered later this year. The multi-mission hemispheric radar (MHR) is an S-band, software-defined, Pulse-Doppler, active, electronically scanned array (AESA) radar.

New Zealand’s Secretary of Defence Helene Quilter has accepted the final vehicles of the new Medium and Heavy Operational Vehicles fleet (MHOV) from Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Australia (RMMVA). RMMVA was awarded the contract to supply New Zealand’s armed forces with 194 vehicles and specialist trailers in April 2013.

The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded a £150 million (€211 million, $234 million) contract to supply a new cannon capability for the UK Armed Forces. The Cased Telescope (CT) cannon will be fitted to the Scout SV, the Army’s first fully digitised armoured fighting vehicle, and the in-service Warrior infantry fighting vehicle. The 40mm cannon will be able to use a variety of ammunition to defend the vehicles and destroy a range of battlefield targets.

The Emirate of Kuwait has contracted with Rheinmetall to supply it with twelve stateof-the-art armoured NBC reconnaissance vehicles, the 2 NBC-RS “Spürfuchs”. Now binding, the order also includes comprehensive support in the form of training, service and spare parts. Delivery of the vehicle commences in 2017.

The advanced trials of Pinaka I, a multiple rocket launcher (MRLS) system, were successfully carried out for the 'submunition warheads' here at Pokhran field firing range in Rajasthan on Monday, June 29. Pinaka has been indigenously developed by the Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), Pune, a laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of the Indian Defence minister.
