Vietnam and Singapore will continue to strengthen military cooperation.

Chieng Siak Kian briefed Vo Van Tuan on the outcome of the working sessions between his delegation and the Vietnamese defense ministry, according to Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA.

The two sides highly valued bilateral defense ties over the past years, affirming that the two countries' developing cooperation in many fields has contributed to maintaining peace and stability in the region.

The two countries' armed forces will continue to strengthen delegation exchanges at all levels and organize exchanges between young military officers.

Singapore will help train Vietnamese military cadets and work with Vietnam in submarine rescue and maritime relief training.
