Ukraine sold 14 BTS-5B tracked armoured recovery vehicles to Azerbaijan.
Ukraine sold 14 BTS-5B armored recovery vehicles to Azerbaijan in 2012. The BTS-5B is a tracked armoured recovery vehicle, an Ukrainian version of the Russian-made BREM-1.

The BTS-5B is designed to supply technical and mechanical support on the battlefield for tanks and armoured units.

The BTS-5B is is based on the chassis of the mian battle tank T-72. Mounted at the front of the hull on the left side is a hydraulic crane which can lift 12 tonnes. Also fitted are a main winch with a capacity of 25 tonnes which can be increased to 100 tonnes, auxiliary winch, hydraulically operated dozer/stabilising blade at the front of the hull, towing equipment and a complete range of tools and recovery equipment.

Ukraine sold 99 units of T-72 tanks to Ethiopia and 10 units to Sudan, 48 units of BTR-4 and 11 units of BTR-80 to Iraq, 62 units of BTR-3E1 to Thailand, 10 units of BTR-60PB and 9 units of BTR-70 armored personnel carrier to Bulgaria last year.

Ukraine sold 137 portable anti-aircraft missile complexes to the U.S. and 193 missiles to Israel last year.
