The Maneuver Combat Vehicle or MCV also called Type-16 is an 8x8 anti-tank combat vehicle armed with a 105mm gun. The vehicle is a project led by the Technical Research & Development Institute of Japan's Ministry of Defense. The first prototype of the 8x8 MCV was unveiled on October 9, 2013. According to local media, the MCV will be manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
