Defence and security company Saab has received a contract for production and delivery of the man-portable weapon system Carl-Gustaf. The order value is approx. US$ 36 million and deliveries will take place during 2017. The order will be booked in the fourth quarter 2016.

New pictures released on Internet confirm that the new Chinese-made ZTQ light tank is now in service with the Chinese armed forces. Images of this tank first appeared in 2010/2011 and according some internet military sources, the ZTQ was developed for operations in mountainous regions.

The army commander in chief of Thailand has announced that the country will purchase more military equipment from China. The Thai army had signed an agreement to purchase 28 VT-4 main battle tanks from China and in the second phase would procure more such tanks until it has a full fleet of 49 tanks in fiscal year 2017.

Oshkosh Defense, LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation company, announced today that the U.S. Army has placed another order for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program including 409 vehicles, 1,984 installed kits, 82 packaged kits and related services and support. The order valued at more than $176 million, is the fourth order for JLTVs since the contract was awarded in August 2015.
