India has successfully test-fired Agni-IV nuclear-capable strategic missile Monday, January 20, 2014. The missile can carry a nuclear warhead weighing one tonne. This was the third success in a row for Agni-IV. Its first success came in November 2011 and the second in Sepetmber 2012. | |||

The Indian-made Agni-IV nuclear-capable missile has a strike range of about 4000 km. | |||
It was test launched from the launch complex-4 of the ITR at Wheeler Island, at about 10:52 AM, defence sources said. A high performance on-board computer with distributed avionics architecture, a high speed reliable communication bus and a fully digital control system were used to control and guide the missile to the target, the sources said. | |||
