FNSS has delivered the AZMIM AACE Amphibious Armoured Earthmover to Turkish Army.
The AACE Amphibious Armoured Combat Earthmover (AZMIM) Vehicle delivery ceremony organized by FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.S, the leading company in Land Vehicles sector of Turkish Defense Industry, is realized on 11 January 2013 at FNSS facilities under the auspices of the esteemed Turkish Minister of National Defence Mr. Ismet Yilmaz.
     
The Amphibious Armoured Combat Earthmover (AZMIM) Vehicle delivery ceremony organized by FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.S, the leading company in Land Vehicles sector of Turkish Defense Industry, is realized on 11 January 2013 at FNSS facilities under the auspices of the esteemed Minister of National Defence Mr. Ismet Yilmaz.
AZMIM AACE is an amphibious, armored, tracked, combat earthmover to be used for preparation of the river banks in crossing over operations.
     

The ceremony was attended by the Turkish Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Hasan Kemal Yardimci, Land Forces Logistics Commander Lieutenant General Adem Huduti, Undersecretary of Defense Industry Mr. Murad BAYAR, President of TSKGV Mr. Hayrettin Uzun, relevant personnel from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, General Staff and Land Forces Command, senior bureaucrats from the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry, SSI and SaSaD management, project officials and senior management of FNSS.

Amphibious Armored Combat Earthmover (AZMIM) contract, for which tender is announced by the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry (SSM) for the requirement of Land Forces Command and the design, development and production of which is realized by domestic capabilities, has been signed between FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.S. and SSM on 10 March 2009.

AZMIM, which is Turkish MoD's second design and production project of Land Vehicles Sector after Mobile Amphibious Assault Bridge (SYHK) project of FNSS, is a system designed for preparing river banks (slope, width soil hardness, surface smoothness, etc.) suitable for entry of the amphibious vehicles into water during river crossing operations to be performed by the Armed Forces. Furthermore, it is the only armoured and amphibious engineering dozer in-service worldwide.

AACE is an amphibious, armored, tracked, combat earthmover to be used for preparation of the river banks in crossing over operations. It is capable of performing Bulldozing, Rough Grading, Excavating, Hauling, and Scraping operations.
