Armament |
The first pictures on the Sheni-dar or Howeizeh showed that the vehicle is not armed but the vehicle can be armed with anti-tank missiles.
|
Design and protection |
The layout of the Sheni-dar or Howeizeh is conventional with the crew compartment at the front and a cargo/personnel area at the rear. The driver sits at the front of the vehicle on the right, two bullet-proof windows are fitted at the front of the crew compartment. The commander and the driver have a single-piece hatch cover that opens to the front.
|
Propulsion |
The engine of the Sheni-dar or Howeizeh is mounted at the front of the vehicle. The engine exhaust system is located in the cooling air exhaust flow on the right side of the vehicle. The suspension is very similar of the German-made Wiesel airborne light armored vehicle. Suspension either side consists of four dual road wheels, drive sprocket at the front, idler at the rear and two track-return rollers.
|
Accessories |
The troops enter and leave the vehicle by a single door in the rear of the hull. A small bullet-proof window is mounted at the top of the door. Two day periscopes for observation are mounted to each side of the hull.
