ENTRAP is an anti-ballistic system consisting of natural materials in a multi-segmented configuration that provides impacts attenuation properties, hence bullet resistant ability. It has been developed by a consortium of three Malaysian universities: Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (Technical University of Malaysia Malacca), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia) and Science and Technology Research Institute for Defence (Stride) and the Indonesian vertical textile and garment company Sritex.

Ruggedly durable and designed to be highly adaptive, the ENTRAP side opening tactival vest provides optimum protective coverage while allowing maximum amount of freedom. It is easy to wear and provides a perfect combination of form, fit and function. The ENTRAP is able to defeat NIJ level IIIA threat.

Among its several benefits, there is a special BallistFem deisgn for women wearers that allows for style, comfort, fit and protection.

Currently, the ENTRAP is in its prototype phase. Doctor Mariyam Jameelah Ghazali, one of the inventors of the system, told to Army Recognition during Indodefence 2016 that the industrialisation phase will start in early 2017.
