The set will be handed over to the 92nd missile brigade of the Second Guard Combined-Arms Army of the Central Military District.

A brigade set of Iskander-M operative tactical missile systems consists of 51 vehicles, including twelve launchers, twelve transporter-loaders, eleven command vehicles, 14 support vehicles, one maintenance vehicle, one data processing post, as well as precision guided missiles, ammunition and training equipment.

The report emphasized that the Kolomna bureau had been chosen as the sole supplier of the package. "The Kolomna Design Bureau has been vested with the power to arrange collaboration between more than 150 enterprises and to ensure the scheduled delivery of component parts. This schedule has never been missed even for one day in the past two years. Moreover, the work is being done ahead of time," the report noted.

A team of specialists from the Kolomna Design Bureau and its partners has been staying at the Kapustin Yar range, which houses every piece of equipment, for a month. Tests are being run on the vehicles and they are being integrated into a single data network in collaboration with combat crews, the report said.

"The two-year fulfillment of this contract has confirmed the correctness of the integrated approach proposed by the Kolomna Machine-Building Design Bureau. Thanks to this, missile brigades will acquire combat-ready armaments which can immediately start patrolling the borders of our fatherland," the report said.

Iskander-M is most effective weapon in its class; it is also superior to the best foreign analogues. The system has tangibly increased the capacities of the Russian missile forces and artillery. It is bound to become the cornerstone of missile formations of the Ground Forces and a key element in the provision of Russia's national security.

There are two modifications to the operative tactical system - the Iskander-M for the Russian Armed Forces and Iskander-E for foreign customers. The exports modification has slightly different combat parameters compared to the version built on the Russian Defense Ministry's orders.
