Beretta reveals an evolution of his ARX called ARX Intelligent Rail during Eurosatory 2014.This new version allow a better exploitation of the electronic accessories mounted on the weapon.

The new Beretta Intelligent rail is compatible with powered and non-powered NATO 4694 or LIL-ST-1913 accessories and Ensures compatibility between soldier modernization programs among NATO countries.

The rail allows data fusion applications including image and video transfe and permits High-speed data transfert between accesories. A removable battery pack with 6 lithiums (L91) AA batteries adds less than 5 ounces to the weapons with powered rail and buttstock kit.

The Beretta Intelligent Rail empowers the user's lethality and protection guaranteeing at the same time mobility and sustainibility. In fact the lethality of the gun is enhanced thanks to the application of this lightweight electronic system which offers the benefit to use lightweight accessories applied on the rails themselves that do not need batteries inside because they receive the power directly from the rails. Weight penalty is minimum, and for the reason above easily, offset by smaller and lighter accessories. The rail will enable the soldier to be self-sustained for a defined time period and to successfully carry out the assigned mission. Ruggedness is moreover assured and it is suitable for fieldin in austere environments. The rail contacts have been tested per MIL-STD-810 for shock vibe, submersion, ice, sand, mud and chemical.

A centralize accessory control eliminate tapes witches and allows shooters to operate all accessories without moving their support hand. A tactile 3-button accessory control pad, is located above the forward rail. It is field-configurable for left or right hand operation.
