At IDEX 2021, International Land Defense Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UAE, AL JASOOR, the UAE's armored vehicle specialist and exclusive supplier of the Rabdan 8x8 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, announced its collaboration with EOS Defence Systems, a leading Australian technology company operating in space, defense and satellite communications markets. The partnership marks the first time a vehicle is fitted with the R800 remote weapon system.

Spanish company Ventura Defense is the manufacturer of the ALAKRAN light mobile mortar carrier system, available in both 81mm and 120mm. ALAKRAN is known to be the first mortar carrier with automatic aiming capabilities that does not need a recoil absorption mechanism. Recognized for its great modular capabilities, ALAKRAN is designed to work in harsh environments and is perfectly designed for today’s operational requirements.

According to a press release published by BAE Systems, cutting edge technologies that deliver defence and security solutions across multi-domains is at the centre of BAE Systems’ exhibit at IDEX 2021. This includes head-up displays, the APKWS Laser-Guided Rocket, the unmanned Pacific 24 Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), the Riptide Autonomous Unmanned Undersea Vehicle, Eurofighter Typhoon and F-35 Lightning II, cyber defence capabilities, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) systems, Common Missile Warning System (CMWS), Tactical Radio Systems, Anti-Jam Systems, and Silver Bullet Precision Guidance.

According to a press release published by EDGE, an advanced technology group for defence and beyond, today launches its first family of multirotor loitering munitions, the QX range. In addition, Shadow 1 and Shadow 2, Rash 2 gliding munition, as well as new variants of the RW24 range – all designed and manufactured in the company’s first year of operations – were launched on the first day of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2021), that is underway at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre until 25 February.

Russia’s state arms seller Rosoboronexport (part of the state tech corporation Rostec) will demonstrate a new integrated counter-drone system at the IDEX 2021 international arms show that will run in the United Arab Emirates on February 21-25, the Rosoboronexport press office reported on Friday.

Alliance Solutions Group (ASG) is present at IDEX 2021 (Abu Dhabi) to launch its new Argus Elite sUAS, a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) with integrated Hazardous Materials sensors.

Boeing will be on-ground exhibiting its diverse range of defense products and services capabilities at the biennial International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) this year. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the show will take place from the 21st to 25th of February, 2021 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

At the IDEX 2021, TATRA TRUCKS will present a logistics vehicle 8x8 and a special military chassis 4x4. In the first case, it will be a Tatra Force 8x8 heavy logistics truck, which is equipped with a short, armoured cabin produced by Tatra Defense Vehicle company. Vehicle is built on a unique Tatra chassis with a central backbone tube and swinging independently suspended half-axles. The first two axles are steerable, and all wheels are equipped with a central tyre inflation system (CTIS).

Excalibur Army company signed an agreement with the Indonesian company PT Republik Defensindo about the production of the Czech RM-70 Vampire rocket launchers in Indonesia. Production of the rocket launchers will begin this year. The project represents a continuation of the cooperation between the companies and follows up on the supply of RM-70 Vampire rocket launchers for the Indonesian Armed Forces in recent years.

Rostec announced in a press release on February 24 at IDEX 2021 that six countries are interested in buying its T-14 Armata tank, without providing any additional information.T-14 Armata was created specifically for so-called network-centric warfare. That is, the T-14 does not fight alone, but as part of a tactical group that is within a unified control system at all times. The group may include heavy infantry fighting vehicles, self-propelled guns, T-90 tanks, and attack helicopters. T-14 is assigned the role of a scout, target designator, and fire spotter in this chain. The tank is distinguished by a high degree of automation.
