The Higher Organising Committee of IDEX and NAVDEX 2021 confirmed that both exhibitions and the accompanying conference will be held on schedule, without disruption. The events are attracting wide interest and participation by companies and delegations alike, as the final preparations are made. The committee aims to organize an exceptional edition during the economic recovery from the impact of COVID-19 and strengthen the position of Abu Dhabi as a leading regional leader in the business tourism sector.

IDEX 2021, the most important defense exhibition in the Middle East will take place from 21 to 25 February 2021 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. IDEX 2021 will be the first major defense exhibition held in the life – not virtual – way taking place since the Covid-19 pandemic started to provoke international defense and security exhibitions cancellation after cancellation, or delays, from early 2020.
IDEX and NAVDEX have become one of the most important exhibitions for the international defense community. The central location of the United Arab Emirates within the Middle East attracts visitors from countries of the surrounding regions. These include representatives from each of the GCC (UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia), North Africa, and the Asian Subcontinent countries.
IDEX & NAVDEX are truly international events and attract visitors from around the world, including officials and decision-makers from Asia, Europe, America, and Australasia. Official Delegations from around the world are invited to attend IDEX, hosted by the UAE Armed Forces.
IDEX is a total of 12 indoor exhibition halls with more than 1100’s of local and international defense manufacturers and contractors will fill over 35,000sqm of exhibition to present the latest innovations and technologies of defense and security equipment.
IDEX, it's also a daily demonstration for exhibiting companies, an opportunity to demonstrate their military and combat equipment. Daily live demonstration displays will take place on the water and on the purpose-built demonstration track.
IDEX and NAVDEX also include international defense conferences organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces. Both events showcase the latest developments across the military sector, demonstrate the latest in peacekeeping and defense technologies, and forge new relationships between national, corporate, and academic entities attending the four-day event.
