It can be fitted with other armament including 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun. A 30 mm automatic grenade launcher can be mounted on the roof of the Taipan turret.

The Taipan turret includes a day observation device with television camera offering to the gunner to track target from 100 to 4,000 m. The turret is also equipped with a thermal imager for night observation which has a detection range of 2,500m.

The Taipan combat module is fully protected against firing of small arms and shell splinters. In addition, the turret can be mounted not only to mobile platform but also on fortified structures, such as checkpoints and remotely controlled.
