During the live demonstration held during IDEX 2015, Streit Group unveiled a new APC/MRAP: the Typhoon-2. Typhoon-2 provides superior level of ballistic protection and blast resistance, with advanced off-road capability. Based on commercial off-road heavy duty chassis with protection level of up to STANAG level 3.

The vehicles seating capacity is up to 10 persons with combat weight 15 tons. The vehicle interior can be fully customized to specific requirements which include jump seats, benches and individual bucket seats with safety features for personnel protection during high speed and off-road maneuvers. The Streit Group Typhoon-2 APC/MRAP is motorized with a Kamaz 740, 10.85, V8 turbocharged diesel engine, developing 381hp coupled to an ZF 9S (9 speed manual gearbox) transmission. The maximum cruising range is about 1,000 km without refueling. The suspension components are reinforced as necessary to compensate for additional weight of the vehicle. Typhoon-2 is 7.4 m long, 2.4 m width and 3.2 m height. The Streit GroupTyphoon-2 APC/MRAP features a monocoque hull, which is V-shaped. The base model is STANAG level 2 with bolt armoring up to STANAG level 3. |
