PILARw Integrated Gunshot Detection Vehicle Version

The PILARw is an integrated gunshot detection system designed and manufactured by the French Defence Company ACOEM through its METRAVIB brand. The PILARw can be mounted on combat armoured vehicle or on a ground tripod to protect military bases. The PILARw system uses the sound waves generated by the firing of small arms, Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), mortars and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to detect and accurately identify their location in real time. The PILARw screen displays the precise origin of the enemy fire in 3D.

PILARw has been combat proven in Afghanistan. Current users include the USSOCOM, the British Army, the Danish Army, the Bundeswehr and the Singaporean Army.

If PILARw has proved his abilities to be a unique situation awareness system, it becomes a force multiplier when coupled with a Remote Weapon Station. PILARw allows returning the threat in real time. PILARw is compatible with almost every RWS system and has already been coupled with Kongsberg, BAE and FNHerstal products among others.

PEARL Personal Equipment Add-on for Reactive Localization

The PEARL (Personal Equipment Add-on for Reactive Localization) is a dedicated and cost effective gunshot detection and localization system developed, designed and manufactured by the French Defence Company ACOEM through its METRAVIB brand. French Company Metravib has presented during Eurosatory 2012 (Defence Exjobition in Paris, France) for the first time its new and compact acoustic gunshot detection and localization system PEARL for small and medium supersonic calibers. The PEARL is the 'mini' version of the PILARw vehicle and ground gunshot detection system.

PEARL can be used for multiple missions and applications : situational awareness, FOB and Forces Protection, reconnaissance, border surveillance, counter sniping operations, convoy protection and classical maneuvers.

Silent, deadly and all but invisible, snipers can strike with snake-like speed and effectiveness. They pose an almost daily threat to politicians and other prominent persons, and represent a constant danger to soldiers deployed in harm's way in conflict zones. With PEARL mounted on weapon, the reaction time is dramatically reduced and survivability is increased.

The PILARw is an integrated gunshot detection system designed and manufactured by the French Defence Company ACOEM through its METRAVIB brand. Conflicts are becoming increasingly complex and armed forces must face threats and environments that are more varied than ever. Throughout the world, METRAVIB provides armed forces with solutions to protect national military areas or military troops deployed on the modern battlefield. PILARw uses the sound waves generated by the firing of small arms, Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), mortars and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to detect and accurately identify their location in real time. The Ground and Vehicular Versions of PILARw are type classified by the U.S. Army Special Operations COMmand (USSOCOM) as the M1 & M2 reference number in the GDS category (Gunshot Detection Systems).

PIVOT (PIlar Versatile Observation Turret) is a rapidly deployable and man-portable surveillance system, consisting of a high speed pan-and-tilt turret equipped with a Day Camera and optionally with multi-function thermal imagers.The PIVOT can be fitted with night vision camera, multifunction binoculars or thermal weapon sight.
