Intermat of Greece presents at IDEX 2013 the latest technologies of anti-thermal camouflage with paints and decals coatings. Intermat is a group of companies pioneer in Stealth Technology Coatings and materials for military applications that have been developed after more than 20 years of reserach and development. The Company is specialized in the research, development, and production of Anti-thermal/IR coatings and Radar absorbing materials.

The "Chameleon Series" Low Observation Paints (LOP) - Anti-thermal/IR coatings of Intermat protect the target from the modern thermographic IR sensors, confusing their image processing capabilities merging the higher reflectance of the target with the lower one of the background.

Application can be made on any surface i.e. metallic or building. It is a permanent countermeasure ready to be applied and integrated onto command centres, headquarters, bunkers, oil infrastructure, airstrips and of course on force multipliers, armoured or tracked vehicles or weapon systems.

A NIMR 4x4 armoured personnel carrier is presented at IDEX 2013 covered by the paint of Intermat to reduce thermal and visual signatures. These coatings can be offered either as paint or as adhesive materials.

Intermat offers with its new "Chameleon Series" Low Observation Paints (LOP) - Anti-thermal/IR coatings a very competitive cost/effectiveness ratio when compared to conventional camouflage solutions (camouflage nets etc) escorted with high standards in terms of endurance and anti-thermal performance.

Intermat is able to offer to customize anti-thermal and visual camouflage for any military vehicles and for each operational environment as rocky, desert, jungle and urban terrains.

Suitable for weapon systems or other military assets and equipment that camouflage painting or use of other camouflage means (nets) is practically impossible or impractical. To mention a few of them: optical instruments (e.g . laser range finders-optical instruments. radios), portable weapon systems (MANPADS. antitank weapons, portable fire finder Radars etc).

Special Forces, Peacekeeping Missions or Recce Units could benefit from alteration of their camouflage during operations.

Several types of certain missiles including cruise type are equipped with infrared homing seekers and devices. Passive Homing Missiles rely on there being strong contrast changes to track, and anti-thermal coatings can render them unable to "lock on".

Intermat managed also to develop a unique and unmatched technology in anti-thermal coatings and thus protect your strategic infrastructure from missile threats, effectively, affordably, reliably and above all always "alarmed" against missile threat.

Countries within medium to higher level of missile technology portfolio, lacking of high-end intelligence resources and especially geo-intelligence, are able to use "salvo" strategy as a weapon of choice.
Provided that one or more missiles succeed in penetrating the Air Defense "umbrella" their "Go-Onto-Location-in-Space (GOLIS) guidance systems", which is broadly used in missile technology for fixed/stationary targets and may be either Inertial (INS), GPS, or even more complicated (for example Terrestrial system including photographic or topographic recon), are shifting during the terminal phase of trajectory to Infrared Homing (the most common practice) above the target area in order to perform the final approach stage of the track/trajectory and achieve a warhead event (explosion) on the most "hot" target within target area.

Intermat's coatings act as a "last resort" countermeasure for that particular phase of the missile's track/trajectory (the Infrared Homing phase) since all other systems have failed to keep missile away from target area. Intermat's coatings manage to keep "cooler" or similar to the ambient temperature the facilities that friendly forces have decided to hide and enhance in combination to friendly decoy plan the survivability rate of friendly installations.
