During IDET 2019, in Czech Republic, John Cockerill Defense (previously known as CMI Defense) is exhibiting a wide range of products, including the Cockerill 3000 series and the Cockerill 3030 weapon systems destined to be mounted on various combat vehicles and infantry vehicles.

Leader in the design, assembly and supply of gun-turret systems for the entire range of 25 to 120 mm calibres, John Cockerill Defense is currently exhibiting its full range of calibres at IDET 2019, in the Czech Republic.
Among these calibres, the Belgian company is showcasing the Cockerill 3000 series. Based on an unprecedented modular concept, the Cockerill® 3000 Series is a single platform enabling guns of different calibres and their corresponding technological modules to be integrated onto the same turret: automatic 25 mm, 30 mm, 30/40 mm, 35 mm and 50 mm caliber guns, along with direct fire guns of 90 and 105 mm, which are also able to fire anti-tank missiles.
Rapid interchangeability of crews and weapons, unique operational capacity, a very high level of common configuration... all of these qualities enable the modular Series 3000 Cockerill® turrets to cover all missions and objectives on the battlefield, from engaging fighting tanks, bunkers or helicopters, to intervening in combats known as asymmetrical, not forgetting urban conflicts.
Modularity and common configuration, two unique characteristics which significantly optimize both total cost of ownership and the operational flexibility of these systems. These systems in particular benefit from Agueris® solutions, unique John Cockerill Defense solutions. These enable precise and high-quality training, both in virtual immersed cockpits and in on-board simulators.
As part of these series are the Cockerill 3105 and the Cockerill 3030. The Cockerill 3030 can be mounted on tracked or wheeled 6x6 or 8x8 chassis and can be either unmanned or manned (2 crew members). Its main armament variates from the Mk44, MK44S, to the XM813. As secondary armament, a 7,62 mm co-axial, pintle mount machine gun can be fitted (or a 12.7 mm, or even a 40 mm grenade launcher).
Eight smoke grenade launchers (APS, anti-sniper, detection, DAS, FFI, LWD) are also fitted on the weapon system to protect the vehicle from incoming threats. The sight of the commander and the gunner are identical (Hunter/Killer) and both have access to day/night vision and to 360° camera covering. The elevation of the turret can vary from -10 to +60 degrees. Regarding the protection of the system, this one reaches up to level 5 STANAG 4569.
