"We have several joint projects for prospective airplanes and helicopters, armor components, after-sale maintenance of supplied arms," he said.

Turkey is also interested in the latest Russian combat modules, air defense of various ranges and antitank weapons. Despite the interference of competitors, Russia and Turkey succeed to overcome difficulties, Mikheyev said.

"At present we are discussing with Turkish partners the implementation of several important projects in military-technical cooperation and civilian industry. We are ready for all formats of technological cooperation, including in such science-intensive spheres, as aerospace industry, helicopter construction and power engineering," Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov said.

Both officials spoke on the eve of IDEF-2019 arms show to be held in Istanbul on April 30 to May 3. The show displays equipment for ground forces, navy, air force, protection technologies, space systems, helicopters, warships, electronics, security systems, transportation and logistical equipment.
