Nurol Makina unveils its new Ejder 4x4 armoured combat vehicle at IDEF 2013 0705131

The Turkish Company Nurol Makina has unveiled today at IDEF 2013, the International Defence Exhibition its new Ejder 4x4 armoured combat vehicle. Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.S. / Makina Isletmesi was founded in 1976 to construct turnkey industrial plants and to undertake large scale steel construction and machinery fabrication projects. Afterwards, in 1992, Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.S. has entered to the defense industry by establishing its plant in Sincan, Ankara Industrial Zone with an indoor area of 18.800 m² on a land of 51.000 m².

The Ejder 4x4 is especially designed to satisfy the operational requirements of military units and security forces in rural and urban area. The EJDER 4x4 is a dynamic, agile, modular versatile easy care and low maintenance combat vehicle having high ballistic armour and protection against mine blast under all environmental conditions and off-road.

The EJDER 4x4 are fitted with grilles on windows to increase protection against RPG rocket-propelled grenade.

With an high payload capability up to 4 tons, various types of weapon systems and payloads can be integrated to EJDER 4x4. It has the largest interior volume among its class. By its great features, EJDER 4x4 is an ideal platform for various applications such as reconnaissance, command and control or ambulance.

At IDEF 2013, the EJDER 4x4 is fitted with a remote weapon station armed with a 7.62 mm machine gun. Such equipment is used on modern military vehicles, as it allows a gunner to remain in the relative protection of the vehicle.
