Katmerciler’s Armored Combat Vehicle “HIZIR” unveiled for the first time at High Tech Port
Katmerciler unveils for the first time the "HIZIR" its new armored combat vehicle on the “3. High-Tech Port by MÜSİAD” organized in Istanbul on 9-12th of November.

The armored combat vehicle “HIZIR” with 4x4 tactical wheels which is developed at NATO standards and has the enhanced ballistic protection and the enhanced protection against mines is developed in R&D center of Katmerciler. “HIZIR” became spotlighted with its launch and Katmerciler won recognition at the fair.

The HIZIR is in 4x4 configuration armored tactical wheeled vehicle developed in Katmerciler’s R&D Center at NATO standards for the operational needs of security forces. It has 9 personnel carriage capacity as well as the enhanced ballistic protection and the enhanced protection against mines and improvised explosives. With 400HP (298KW), the HIZIR is the combat vehicle which has the highest engine power in its range in Turkish Defense Industry.

The vehicle has a gross weight of 16.000 kg and can reach the top speed of 110 km/h. The HIZIR has been designed and developed for high performance under the intense conflict conditions in rural and urban areas. With these characteristics, it is candidate to be a confidence-building vehicle for the armed and security forces. It is a versatile and low-cost vehicle maintained easily and it performs for variable configurations and different kind of missions as command and control vehicle, CBRN vehicle, weapons carrier vehicle (easy integration of variable weapon systems), ambulance vehicle, border security vehicle, scout vehicle.

The HIZIR is fitted with an Aselsan SARP Stabilized Advanced Remote weapon Platform. Depending on the requirements, the SARP can be equipped with a 12.7mm machine gun, 40mm automatic grenade-launcher or 7.62mm machine gun.
