GDA 2019: Turkish defence industries present their products and services


Turkey places great importance with Kuwait on the development of valuable cooperation which has been being carried out not only in several areas based on friendship and fraternity but also in the defence industry.

Within this scope, Turkey participates in GDA 2019  held in Kuwait on December 10-12 2019, with 20 companies in the coordination of Presidency of Defence Industries and with the support of Defence and Aviation Industries Exporters’ Association. The products and services of Turkish defence industry companies will be introduced to all participants, notably to gulf countries.

During the fair, presentations and introductions of the products manufactured by Turkish defence industry companies will be carried out on armoured vehicle platforms, various manned or unmanned aircrafts, marine systems, weapon systems, electronic systems, ammunitions, simulators and logistic support products. In the course of the Fair, Turkish official delegation will hold meetings with the delegations of participant countries.

Currently meeting more than 60% of the need for modernisation of the Turkish Armed Forces, Turkish Defence Industry has proven itself and succeeded in carrying out joint venture models and cooperation projects with several countries around the world.

Recently, successful cooperation projects on land platforms have been signed with Kuwait; Internal Security Vehicles produced by OTOKAR and Ejder TOMA vehicles produced by NUROL Makina have been taken in the inventory of Kuwait Security Forces. In this regard, ıt is aimed to develop and deepen the cooperation potential between Turkish defence industry companies and Kuwait with new projects.

In the Turkish National Pavillion, capability information will be presented to the fair participants, notably to Kuwait military officials, and cooperation opportunities will be considered. The broad participation and attention of Turkish companies to the Kuwait Fair is the most significant indicator of the importance given to Kuwait’s cooperation and sincere intentness and willingness of Turkish companies towards cooperation.
