Description

The original, patented vest cut-away system!
MSA Paraclete designed the first ballistic vest to offer a patented, Single-Point Release System for instant vest removal. Others have tried to duplicate its simplicity, durability, and effectiveness but none have come close to MSA Paraclete’s unique and life-saving system.
The MSA Paraclete Releasable Assault Vest Body armor (RAV) is a high-mobility, comfortable vest designed for speed and stealth. When in use and fully loaded, these modular tactical vests are quickly removable with a single cut-away handle. This vest’s capabilities greatly enhance the modern soldier’s survivability while in training or combat environments.
The RAV’s innovative design accommodates a full modular system of add-on pouches and accessories. Armor components are compliant with NIJ Standard-0101.04, 2005 Interim Requirements when worn with armor. NIJ 0101.06-compliant armor is also available.

Patent information
Vest Cut-Away system
• Covered by U.S. Patent Nos. 6,769,137 and 6,948,188.
• Unique system allows user to instantly and completely remove a fully-loaded tactical vest just by pulling a single low-profile cut-away handle.
• Activation of cut-away system separates vest into five individual pieces: internal cummerbund, external cummerbund, front vest panel, back vest panel, and cut-away pillow.
• Once activated, vest can be quickly and easily reconfigured for wear.
• On a fully-modular field serviceable system, if any portion of the cut-away system becomes unserviceable, only that individual component needs to be replaced; other systems on the market require ripping the vest apart at the seams or full vest replacement.
