Technical Data

Armament
As all the modern combat vehicles, the PMPV 6x6 MiSu can be fitted with armored glass turret, armed with a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun. The vehicle can also to be fitted with a remote controlled weapon station armed with weapons up to 12.7mm caliber or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
Design and protection
The layout of the PMPV 6x6 MiSu is very similar to other MRAP vehicles with the engine at the front, the crew cabin in the middle and the troops' compartment at the rear. The vehicle is based on an innovative structure offering a high level of protection against mine blast. Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) is a category of vehicles that are designed specifically to withstand improvised explosive device (IED) attacks and ambushes. PMPV 6x6 MiSu vehicle is especially designed to counter the land mine threats. There is a large windscreen at the front of the crew cabin and one single door on each side. Driver and commander have a single-piece hatch on the roof and one day periscope for vision to the front. The troop's compartment offers a high level of protection using three layers of steel honeycomb which attenuates mine blast loading better than monolithic steel armor plate of equal areal density without structural fracture. The troops enter and leave the vehicle by two doors in the rear of the hull. Especially designed anti-blast seats prevent injury from the extreme acceleration of a side blast or a mine blast under the hull. The PMPV 6x6 MiSu has a total weight of 14,000 kg and can carry a total of 12 military personnel including driver and commander. One of the features of the vehicle is the compartment of troops divided from the crew cabin to increase the protection of the troops in case of mine explosion under the hull.
Mobility
The PMPV 6x6 MiSu is based on a 6x6 all-terrain chassis and is motorized with a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine developing 285hp coupled to a six-speed Allison automatic transmission. The vehicle has a maximum road speed of 110 km/h.
Accessories
Standard equipment of the PMPV 6x6 MiSu includes six cameras mounted on all sides of the vehicle offering 360° outside view for the troops. It has also a thermal imaging camera. The PMPV 6x6 MiSu is fully amphibious being propelled in the water by two propellers mounted at the rear of the hull. In the water, the vehicle can swim at a maximum speed of 12 km/h.
