The “Pantsyr-S1” AA system (NATO reporting name SA-22 Greyhound) has rapid-fire 30-mm automatic guns and guided missiles developed for short-range AA coverage. It is capable of destroying stealth low-flying air systems including cruise missiles.

The Pantsyr-S1/Pantsir-S1 is armed with two 2A38M 30 mm automatic anti-aircraft guns developed from the two-barreled 30 mm GSh-30 gun. The gun system is coupled with twelve 57E6 surface-to-air missiles, arranged in two six-tubes groups on the turret. The 57E6 is a two stage solid fuel radio-command-guided missile which is believed to have a hit probability of 70-95%, at a range of 1-12 km. Maximum engagement rate of the Pantsyr-S1 is up to 10 targets per minute.

Some 35 units entered in service at December 2013, but many other systems has been reportedly delivered to the Russian Armed Forces since then.
