The U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems $49.7 million under an existing contract to upgrade M1A1 Abrams tanks to the M1A2 Systems Enhancement Package (SEP) V2 configuration. General Dynamics Land Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics.

The Indian military has raised six new squadrons of the Akash Air Defence System which is developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and private firms. The squadrons will be inducted in the Indian Air Force. The top IAF officials were quoted as saying by TOI that IAF already has two operational squadrons of the all-weather, point/area missile system.

Twelve M109A5 howitzers were delivered to Punta Arenas in Southern Chile Dec. 8 as part of the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command's foreign military sales program. The howitzers were subsequently transferred to the Artillery Group No. 7 "Wood", 4th Armoured Brigade "Chorrillos" of the 5th Army Division.

According to International Business Times, India and Israel are likely to finalise a major defence deal, which would see two more Phalcon AWACS (airborne warning and control system) and four aerostat radars, in a deal worth almost $1.5 billion (€1.3 billion). On 12th February, 2015, another test firing of the MMP missile took place at the French Procurement Agency DGA Techniques Terrestres site in Bourges central France. The MMP uses the the technology of fire and forget mode and has a maximum range of 4,000 m.

The United States government released Saturday, February 14, 2015, satellite images that, it said, show the presence in eastern Ukraine of artillery and air defense systems sent by Russia to the separatist rebels. The black-and-white pictures were posted on Twitter by the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, who said the government of President Barack Obama is "sure" that all this armament belongs to Russia and not to the separatists.
